I had meant to get this blog post up a week ago, but the office manager came down sick and when the little one is sick, everyone knows. Poor thing, she’s doing much better now, which is why I finally get to put up some of my faves from Michelle and Nathan’s awesome engagement session.

The day was perfect, we had this glorious cloud studded sky as our backdrop. Nathan has a restored ’65 Stang, which if anyone knows I am in love with Mustangs. You couldn’t grow up in my house without a love of the classic muscle car. Michelle and Nathan had outfits for every scene we shot, which made the whole shoot go so smooth, we loved every minute.

This shot is one of my absolute favorites, it turned out exactly how I pictured it in my head!

And, they do tractor pulls, how freakin’ awesome is that?!

I love this shot from tonight’s family session. You may recognize these handsome gentlemen from some previous sessions, I absolutely adore clients that I get to see on a regular basis. It’s so much fun to watch our families as they grow.

We spent Friday night coloring Easter eggs with Jamie and Cheyanne, although I think the adults may have had more fun. Jamie colored all hers blue, I think because it was the only color she could reach, but she had fun for a while and then of course, she grew bored and left us to finish up. Here’s the dozen that we brought home for today.

This post is a long time coming. As I was going over the last year, I realized that I never blogged little Mr. T’s newborn session! So, here is a belated, but fun filled session.

I realize that going through our sessions, that I have so much more fun shooting on location. Our clients are more comfortable, I have less cleaning , and I just get to hang out with some of my favorite people. You may remember Jen and Bart from their wedding. We met Jen at the Once Upon a Time bridal fair, she booked us on the spot and we are so happy that that started our relationship together. When Jen and Bart found out they were expecting, we were so excited to come down and capture the images of little T. He was the perfect little guy during our session. Plus, it was nice and warm outside so we got to head out to the backyard for some great family shots, I love the light! Plus, what a great family.

Jen and Bart, I am so sorry that I delayed the blog post, but here’s to the two of you and your fast growing little man! Thank you so much for letting us come down and capture these fleeting moments!

I think every newborn should have a stuffed animal that is twice their size, it makes for some great shots! Plus, who wouldn’t want a big smiling frog?

Wisconsin wedding photographer ~ Jake + Laura’s Wis Dells wedding

Now, I have heard it said that it’s lucky if it rains on your wedding day. So, Jake and Laura must be overflowing because we got a bit wet during the ceremony and our brief stint out to Devil’s Lake for some formals afterwards. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Jake and Laura got married at the gorgeous St. Joe’s Catholic church in Baraboo, I think you’ve all heard me saying how gorgeous it is there. The flowers were amazing, thanks to Missi at Wild Apples in Baraboo. The couple had an amazing getaway car provided by a friend of the family and we got some cute shots of them inside it as they left the ceremony for the reception at Trapper’s Turn in the Dells.

After we reached Trapper’s, the rain held off so we could head out on the golf course for some quick shots before the reception got into full swing. There was a candy buffet, loved it!, a strawberry fountain and Jake and Laura had a choreographed first dance, how amazing is that?! Super if you ask me, because we all know that not only does Rob have no musical voice, the poor man can’t dance either. It’s okay, I love him anyways. Welcome 2012!!

Hello new year! It’s a new beginning, a fresh start. If last year for you was anything like it was for us, I’m sure it was full of ups and downs. We can’t learn to appreciate the good without a little sour in our lives, can we? We had amazing clients this past year and have fabulous clients lined up for this year! Our wedding season will start this month, yay! Winter wedding, doesn’t that sound exciting? Well, I think it’s exciting, and that’s all that matters (at least that’s what I tell Rob).

New years is always a bit bittersweet, for everything that didn’t get done the past year, but knowing that the new year will be full of new adventures, new friends and more fun. Has anyone made any resolutions? I’ll share mine, I plan on taking more pictures of my own family this year. Jamie is growing so big right before our eyes and soon she’ll be a little girl and not just my baby anymore. I take tons of pictures of other people’s families, that I think I’ll need to focus on my own a bit more this year. So, help me keep my resolution people! And good luck keeping your own!
