{album thursday} a super cute 3×3 newborn accordion
Posted on December 8, 2011
Good afternoon and welcome to another Thursday’s album. Today I’ve got a set of three 3×3 inch accordion albums for a new little man. I had the privilege of capturing these moments when Matty was just a week old, can you believe how much they grow in just a month? This is the perfect gift for grandparents, what’s better is that they come in sets of three! That means one for mom and dad, one for his parents and one for her parents. Or you can just keep them all to yourself, but it’s way more fun to share, don’t you agree?
I simply adore how tiny these are. They fit in your purse, even your pocket, and have a magnetic closure so they are sure to stay shut while you’re carrying them around. We have just started offering printed covers this year, which I’ll admit is way more awesome than the pink linen accordian albums that I have when Jamie was born, but hey, times change and we move with them.
Take a look at these adorable books, they are perfect for newborns, seniors, wedding gifts, okay okay, I could go on, but I think they are perfect for anything. Plus, you know me, I love albums!
{album thursday} stacy + joe’s classic 10×10 ONE
Posted on September 29, 2011
Have I mentioned how much I love showing off our albums? Well, if it’s been a while, and we all know it has been, I love sharing album posts. I really truly believe that every couple should have a gorgeous album to share with their family and friends and bring out every year to pore over and remember all the little details. This is why our wedding collection comes with an album.
All right, enough about going off on a tangent, let’s get down to the awesomeness!
Joe and Stacy had a super classy wedding, so when it came time to choose a cover, I suggested a few that I thought would look awesome. Stacy and Joe picked Datebook for their 10×10 ONE. Datebook is super classy and timeless, it’s a gorgeous chocolate brown and so soft to the touch, with a tooled diamond pattern with went perfect with their autumn wedding and chocolate theme. What can I say, but great minds think alike? I love how their album turned out. We went with a 30 page album featuring 56 images, which gave us lots of room for big pictures. I love to do a simple design to really show off the images, and this album rocks! I know I can say that, but take a look for yourself. Check out the leather, and if you want to see some in person, give me a call, you know Rob and I love to show stuff off.
This first shot is Stacy and Joe’s classic 10×10 along with Dan and Stephanie’s hot ONE.
{album thursday} Dan + Stephanie’s hot ONE
Posted on August 18, 2011
Hello and welcome to album Thursday. Yes, I’ve been slacking, but we’ve been crazy busy with senior sessions, family sessions, not to mention our weddings, album designs and print orders!
Today, I wanted to share Dan and Stephanie’s super hot Finao ONE wedding album. This baby is big, it’s 12×12 luscious inches of baby soft leather and supple suede. I love the Ludicrous black leather with it’s gorgeous scrolling embossed design matched with Lusterin’ Hot, the most perfect hot pink ever! This album feels as hot as it looks. Dan and Stephanie’s album holds 75 images from their wedding day on 30 pages of matte prints. I know I say this every time, but I love our albums! The feel and the smell, it is divine, I could just hold them until I have to give them to their new owners.
I’ve, of course, included a few shots of some of my favorite spreads along with some great shots of the cover and the center cut print. So, take a look, feel free to leave some love -no spam please, and enjoy!
{album thursday} Cassie’s senior accordian album

I can’t believe that I hadn’t taken more shots of Cassie’s super cute black linen accordian albums. These little guys are great for stuffing into your purse and showing family and friends. The 3×3 size is perfect to carry around. I love the linen on these little guys, although I think I’m just a sucker for linen covered books.
Our accordian albums feature up to eight images from your session and are sold in sets of three, perfect to keep one for yourself and give two to family or friends.
{product talk} our new flash drives!
Posted on May 19, 2011
I just got an amazing box full of goodies today. Who isn’t excited to see a box on their front porch? I love mail, too, but not bills, not really a big fan of those ones.
Anyways, while on our trip in Vegas, we hit WPPI, it’s this majorly huge convention for wedding and portrait photographers. Rob and I wanted to check out our suppliers, maybe check into a few new ones and just get some information. Well, the convention was held at the MGM, which if you haven’t been is just enormous. So after several hours of looking and touching and getting bombarded with information, we left Vegas for the peace and quiet of home.
It was a couple days later that I got a call from Tracy at Pexagon Tech, informing me that I had won their big shopping spree at the convention. I was dumbfounded to say the least. I hardly ever win anything so this was so awesome, especially since we were really looking into the customizable flash drives, but decided that since we had just stocked up on DVDs, we would hold off until a later date. This was fate. I perused the website, made list after list, after list and finally gave Tracy my order and today it arrived!
We ordered wooden flash drives with our logo on them, they are so gorgeous that I am going to use at least one for myself, and maybe I’ll let Rob use one, if he’s lucky.
But these gorgeous flash drives are going to be a new addition to our product offerings for this year. Can’t wait, can you? Neither can I, now I just have to play around with how I’ll package them. Yay!
Take a look, they are even better in person!
{album thursday} sara + kirk’s gorgeous 12×12 ONE
Posted on January 27, 2011
Welcome back to this week’s edition of album thursday! Today I am showing off Sara and Kirk’s gorgeous ONE. This is the largest size we offer, it is twelve square inches of gorgeous images and luxurious fabrics. Sara chose the French Quarter cover from the Paraphernalia swatches. The simple black and white design was a near perfect match for their wedding stationary. I love that the ONE has so many options to choose from. I wasn’t quite sure how the French Quarter would look by itself, but as soon as I opened up the box I was super impressed. I love to feel the albums, I know I’ve mentioned it before, but an album needs to be felt and loved.
The ONE is a flushmount, which means that the pages are actual prints mounted to a thin board. These albums are super sturdy and a dream to touch. They also have a ton of options to choose from to get the perfect album to represent your wedding day, or family session, we’d love to create an album to showcase your latest milestone.
Sara and Kirk’s 30 page ONE features 91 images from their amazing wedding day. I love the hot pink bridesmaid dresses. It’s just a girl thing, hot pink. I’ve also included a few spreads at the end so you can see how I like to design the albums. I love being able to tell the story of the day with our images, it brings the whole wedding day back to me again, I only hope that our clients agree as they peruse their own albums!
So, take a look, feel free to leave me some blog love because you know it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
jackie + david, a little album design
Posted on January 11, 2011
I was just going through some older files and came across Jackie and David’s wedding album. So I thought I’d just throw up a few of my favorites from their album. I’m in the process of transferring all the old files off the hard drive to make room for all the new sessions for this coming year. I can not believe, okay I can, that we shoot so many images! I love it. I think that my favorite thing is to capture the emotions. What an exciting job, being around on such wonderful days, oh what more could we ask for?
{album thursday} dan + alejandra’s 10×10 ONE
Posted on January 6, 2011
I believe it is high time I showed off some of the amazing albums that we see. This is a 10×10 ONE from Finao. We love how many options the company has. Dan and Alejandra chose a brocade for the cover of their gorgeous album, this one is called sapphire, which fit perfectly with their wedding colors! The cover is a gorgeous rich blue with the brocade design in the same color, but show it off in the light and you can see the beauty in the design.
I love albums. I believe in my heart that every couple deserves a beautiful and stunning album of their wedding day. It will capture the memories, the tears, and most importantly the love between two people. I want our clients to look back ten, twenty, fifty years from now and remember every little moment. I think a beautiful album is an addition that every bride and groom should be thinking of as they plan their own special day.
I took a couple shots of the cover before handing it off this past summer, but added a few of my favorites spreads below so you can see a little bit of how we design our albums. This is a 30 page album featuring 83 images from the wedding day, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
{albums} the new 10×10 Artbook sample
Posted on September 23, 2010
As some of you man know, we received our newest sample album this week! Rob and I are super excited to introduce an album that is museum quality and gorgeous! The Artbook is handbound so it will last generations, will lay completely flat and has an awesome image wrap cover. The quality is great, and I find it to be awesome to wrap your album with an image.
Our sample is a 10×10 Artbook with 40 pages of luscious images. I didn’t want to try cramming all the fun into 30 pages, which is the lowest we’ll go, so went big and I am so happy that I did. Each wedding is unique and we want the album to reflect that. Our wedding albums start with 30 pages, adding additional spreads is always an option, especially if you want more images in the album.
It was really hard for me to choose which image for our sample cover. I wanted something completely different, something we’ve never done before. I showed it to Rob. He says, “are you sure you want that shot on the cover?” with his skeptical eyebrow raised at me. I looked back at him and said “oh yeah, this couple wasn’t traditional, no white dress, no bridal party. I want this sample to be as outrageous as possible, because our clients deserve an album that shows off who they are.” Won’t you agree? We want our clients to be giddy with happiness when they receive their albums.
Your wedding album will last for generations, it’s one of the main reasons we include an album credit with our wedding package. You deserve to have a gorgeous heirloom to show off, and we want to help make that happen.
Now I feel as if I’ve become a bit maudlin, so take a look at the images of our newest sample album. If you’re a bride or groom that have been looking at us, give us a call or even email at brie [at] realphotographyrealpeople [dot] com, we’d love to show off our samples and talk about your wedding day and how we can capture the memories for you.
