Fabulously fun barely begins to describe Rick and Kelli’s wedding day. Rick and Kelli are so super sweet and awesomely in love that we just had a complete blast the whole day. The girls were getting ready in Mauston at the church, so I got to take some shots of them getting dressed and, of course, Kelli’s gorgeous wedding dress with its royal blue strip down the back, so gorgeous! Plus, she already had her flowers from Wild Apples.

While I was doing that, Rob and the guys were mostly chilling. I won’t let him lie to me, the guys are super easy, all they have to do is get dressed and they look amazing. Check out the black and white of Rick just sitting in the pews, isn’t he so handsome?! Plus, check out his smile, can you totally tell that he’s super excited to be married to such a gorgeous woman?

So, this is our year of, kinda, funny ring stories. Let’s just say that the wedding day just wasn’t the ring bearer’s day. Poor kid, he didn’t have the rings when the officiant asked for them, but don’t worry, they were just hiding in a  back room. Crisis averted. Plus, I think Rob and I will have some competition with the ring bearer, check him out in the reception shot. ;)

Talking about the reception, it was held at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells. The whole night was rocking. I am also enlisting Rick on teaching Rob how to dance, because he was awesome. No, really, he has the moves, don’t let him tell you any different.

Okay, okay, enough chatter, check out their amazing wedding! Feel free to leave me some blog love, because you know that I love to read what you have to say!

I realized this week, that I have barely posted any full posts from this last year. What a slacker, and what a year it’s been for us, full of ups and downs. So, I’m going back in time to this past winter with Jake and Laura and sharing their fun engagement session. There was snow (I want snow now because it doesn’t feel like Christmas without it) and cold, but Jake and Laura were troopers and we had so much fun together. Plus, Laura has the most amazing skin, I think you will all agree when I say she’s pretty gorgeous. We started outside in the cold and snow, headed to the capital and ended with Barnes and Noble, where they went on their first date (correct me if I’m wrong guys!). They are both big Star Wars fans, so we totally took advantage of that and had some fun in the bookstore.

Enjoy! And please, leave me some blog love, I really enjoy what you have to say, unless it’s spam then it’s outta here!

{wordless wednesday} oh Christmas tree

Good afternoon and welcome to another Thursday’s album. Today I’ve got a set of three 3×3 inch accordion albums for a new little man. I had the privilege of capturing these moments when Matty was just a week old, can you believe how much they grow in just a month? This is the perfect gift for grandparents, what’s better is that they come in sets of three! That means one for mom and dad, one for his parents and one for her parents. Or you can just keep them all to yourself, but it’s way more fun to share, don’t you agree? ;)

I simply adore how tiny these are. They fit in your purse, even your pocket, and have a magnetic closure so they are sure to stay shut while you’re carrying them around. We have just started offering printed covers this year, which I’ll admit is way more awesome than the pink linen accordian albums that I have when Jamie was born, but hey, times change and we move with them.

Take a look at these adorable books, they are perfect for newborns, seniors, wedding gifts, okay okay, I could go on, but I think they are perfect for anything. Plus, you know me, I love albums!

Joe + Taren’s Baraboo enagement session

Posted on December 6, 2011

We met up with Joe and Taren the first week in October, the day was gorgeous. We headed out to Pewitt’s Nest for some great fall foliage behind the two of them. Rob and I usually like to start easy: “okay, you’re going to hold each others hands and walk away . . . okay now turn around and come back!” Well, we started with a little more touchy feely with Joe and Taren. We had them climb up onto this huge tree and cuddle. I love these shots!

Then, we moved on to walking and holding hands. I love the way that the light filtered down on the two of them. We were blessed with a gorgeous couple and amazing light for the session, what can I say.

After Pewitt’s Nest, we headed to downtown Baraboo, and got some really great shots in one of the back alleys. I love all the little nooks and crannies that can be found when you’re paying attention.

Doesn’t Taren have the most amazing heels? I admit, I could never walk around on them, I would totally sprain an ankle. The shoes were killer and Taren totally rocked them for the session!

Okay, I love the look of this. That patch of vines spreading along the brickwork, then add in a super gorgeous couple. I love it!

These last two we caught by the Al Ringling theatre. I love every bit of them.

Joe and Taren, thank you for an amazing day! We can’t wait for the wedding next year, it’s going to be awesome!
