Happy Easter

Posted on April 23, 2011

What a gorgeous day, wouldn’t you agree? Especially after the cold, rainy and snowy week that we had. Today, Jamie and I, mostly I, colored eggs with her cousin Cheyanne and Gramma. What a wonderful mess we made, and we only managed to crack a few of the four dozen eggs that were awaiting new colors. That’s a plus with a twenty-one month old that wants to help dunk the eggs, slurp up the colored water and really just make a mess. We had a blast, although it is possible that I had more fun than the kids, but hey, that’s all right.

Rob, Jamie and I celebrated Easter dinner a day early with my mom and siblings out at the farm. So, I had to dress Jamie up in a super cute dress. What mom doesn’t love to dress her little girls? She loved the dress and kept pulling up the skirt to play with the tulle underneath.

So, with these images of my own cuteness, may you all have a wonderful Easter weekend!

I think we can all agree that Wisconsin weather sucks. Last week, it is gorgeous, blue skies, seventy degrees, and what do we have yesterday? We get a horrid rain/sleet/snow mixture, that thank goodness stopped before our engagement session last night. Here I thought that Spring had finally arrived, but after yesterday, I’m disinclined to believe that fact.

Kelli and Rick were eager to brave the wind and the cold, all right that might be putting it a bit stronger, but Rob and I were excited to make the best of the grey situation. I think that the test of any photographer is to not let outside circumstances, such as weather, keep you down. So, even though our lovely couple got a bit cold, we braved the wind and got some amazing shots. We started out in Baraboo at Ochsner’s Park for some quick outdoor shots, then headed up to Chula Vista for some indoor shots, and some of my personal favorite cloud shots and ended up at the River Walk.

Rob and I had a blast, we put into practice some new things we learned last week while at the Power of Passion tour with Sandy Puc and Jerry Ghionis. I think that we rocked this session, and I hope that Kelli and Rick agree. I know that Rick wasn’t too keen on getting pictures taken, what groom isn’t, right? But he was totally a natural in front of the camera and Kelli is just gorgeous. Seriously, take a look and let me know your thoughts.

Kelli and Rick, we cannot wait for your wedding next month! Here’s one thing to check off.

Hello hello everyone!! I have just had the most amazing weekend. I’ve been inspired, and so noticing, I’ve been neglecting my lovely blog. Rob and I will be making changes to the website, our pricing and some of our products within the next couple of weeks, so look for new things to come! I’ve had some amazing sessions from newborns to boudoir, and ladies if you are looking for a little extra something to get that man in your life that has it all, just give me a  call!

I’m finally getting up some shots from Nick and Beth’s fabulous Las Vegas wedding, hopefully it won’t be our last destination wedding because Rob and I had so much fun! Even though Nick and Beth got married in the shark tank at the Mandalay Bay and we, sadly, could not be in there with them due to space constraints, we did get to spend most of the day with them. So, as with most of our couples, we took a little walk outside, even though it was rather chilly and windy, but we’re from Wisconsin right? We can take a little cold. ;) My favourite shot is the two of them silhouetted under the archway leading to the Mandalay Bay, everything turned out as perfect as it looked in my head.

After walking around the hotel, we met up on Freemont street, which is the old school Vegas strip, and amazing may I add. Beth had brought some Elvis glasses to play with, and Beth if I’m wrong and it wasn’t you that brought them: I’m sorry! She looked super hot, of course. The wedding party played some slots, got some super cheap shrimp cocktails, and we called it a night after watching the light show. It was such an amazing day, and I am so honored that Rob and I were a part of it.

Congrats Beth and Nick!
